1. About Thrive Sports & Exercise Medicine

Thrive Sports & Exercise Medicine is a Rotorua-based clinic specialising in sports medicine, menopause, and perimenopause care. Our services are tailored to empower patients through expert evidence-based, medical care and personalised plans to optimise health and well-being.

2. Medical Advice Disclaimer

All content on our website, including text, images, and resources, is for informational purposes only. It is not intended to replace professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. For medical concerns, always consult directly with a qualified healthcare provider.

3. Appointment Bookings

  • Appointments are essential and can be made via the Contact page on our website or by contacting the clinic directly.

  • If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 48 hours’ notice.

  • Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice will incur a $50 cancellation fee.

  • Failure to attend an appointment without notice will incur a full consult fee.

4. Privacy and Confidentiality

We adhere to the Health Information Privacy Code 2020 and Medical Council of New Zealand guidelines. All personal and health information shared with Thrive is treated with strict confidentiality. For more details, please see our Privacy Policy.

5. Patient Responsibilities

Patients are expected to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health information.

  • Attend appointments on time or provide adequate notice if unable to do so.

  • Respect clinic staff and other patients.

  • Confirm the applicable consultation fee before attending if they are uncertain about the cost of their appointment.

6. Fees and Payments

  • Fees are payable on receipt of invoice or on the day of consultation, unless otherwise agreed in advance.

  • Payment methods include EFTPOS, credit card, or online banking.

  • ACC does not cover the full cost of a consultation. For eligible consultations, ACC may contribute towards the consultation fee, however the remaining balance is payable by the patient.

  • Patients are responsible for payment of the applicable consultation fee regardless of the level of ACC contribution.

  • Invoices that remain unpaid 30 days after the due date may incur a $15 administration fee.

  • Accounts that remain unpaid 60 days after the due date may be referred to a debt collection agency. The patient will be responsible for reasonable costs incurred in recovering the outstanding debt, where permitted by law.

  • Patients with overdue accounts may be required to pay for future consultations in advance.

7. Website Use and Intellectual Property

  • The content on our website is owned by Thrive Sports & Exercise Medicine and protected under copyright law.

  • You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any material from our website without written permission.

8. Third-Party Links and Resources

Our website may include links to third-party websites. Thrive is not responsible for the accuracy or content of these external resources and does not endorse them.

  • Technical issues affecting the availability of our website or booking system.

These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes arising from the use of our services or website will be handled under New Zealand jurisdiction.
